What is EcoVue?

This is where EcoVue comes in. It is SKP’s new, revolutionary line of eco-friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable food packaging options. Apart from our paper containers and paper food packaging options, every EcoVue product is made of polypropylene that has been carefully blended with a unique biodegradable additive, enabling the product to break down by microbes faster than traditional plastics.

The ‘vue’ in the name means vision, sight, and view in French. EcoVue represents SKP’s green vision and showcases our commitment to providing biodegradable and eco-friendly food packaging solutions in society’s growing need.

Using the latest eco-friendly technology, BioTransformation, EcoVue’s 100% biodegradable food container options are completely sustainable. In addition, our manufacturing facilities are powered using solar energy, which makes EcoVue an even more eco-friendly food packaging alternative.

Every EcoVue biodegradable container, plate, and cup is 100% biodegradable and breaks down into organic elements, such as natural gases, biomass, and water, that are then absorbed back into nature. They do not leave behind any plastic waste, making them eco-friendlier than conventional plastics. 

Many biodegradable takeaway containers in the market are oxo-degradable, which mimics the breaking down process. However, they only crumble into which technically tiny pieces of plastic that remain in our environment as inorganic pollutants.

Why EcoVue?

EcoVue - Redefining Green through BioTransformation

First and foremost, our Eco-friendly and Biodegradable range of food packaging items, EcoVue, is formulated using new techniques, with the Polypropylene (PP) and a proprietary additive from the USA. The Polypropylene undergoes Biotransformation, which allows it to biodegrade in landfills. It was lab-tested to be around 64.3% in 205 days and full biodegradation between 1 and 5 years, conditions dependent.

As the majority of waste ends up in landfills throughout the world, we have targeted our products to fill this gap.

In terms of biodegradability in landfills, recyclability with other mainstream plastics, shelf life, storage conditions, oxygen required, exposure to sunlight/heat, microplastics formation and biodegradation in commercial and municipal composts, our bio/eco-friendly food packaging in our EcoVue series contain more efficient properties as compared to other alternatives in the market.

The biodegradable additive employed in EcoVue’s products does not reduce the quality of the polypropylene material in any way. And in terms of biodegradable food container usage, the added additive does not render the biodegradable containers inferior, ensuring that EcoVue products are equally as high a standard as other SKP’s products.

Additionally, EcoVue products are completely microwaveable and food-safe and do not have any specific requirements or conditions for storage, giving you peace of mind should you be interested in purchasing them in bulk.
